The early to mid 80's placed Johnny Collier into the professional realm when he started singing with The Hank Jr. Band as they needed a front man to continue working while Hank recouped from touring. Later forming his own band and hiring musicians like Roger Clark, drummer from The Steve Miller Band & The Grateful Dead, etc. he started to write and record his own material and found himself working with members of The Little Richard Band, opening for Jim Ed Brown and doing a few sessions at Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals.
He hosted his own TV show on W10BV broadcast from Ethridge, TN with owner and friend Sarah Evetts known for starting the smallest TV station in America and catapulting to worldwide attention and success appearing on Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, USA Today, etc.
Johnny Collier and his band perform a wide variety of songs and you will be hard pressed not to like something if not all of what these guys are bringing to the stage. Brian Holder on bass and vocals delivers the groove to their sound having worked under Johnny's wing for 3 and a half years. Robert McGowan put's the drive into the music with his melodic drum interpretations after nearly 2 years with Johnny. Lastly Johnny tops it off with his well placed guitar work and smooth vocals.
