BIO

Leather & Lace came together when two young ladies decided to start a duet and share their love of country and gospel music, as well as their very own originals with others. They have created a special bond and couldn't be any closer if they were sisters. This duet also performs jokes and light humor as a part of their show.

Joanie Evans: Originally from a little town called Sweetlips, TN, daughter of a Preacher and a Farmer, moved quite a bit growing up. Joanie moved from Sweetlips, TN to PTL, North Carolina to work for Jimmy Baker. Her family of 5 lived in a tiny pop up camper for almost a year while working Draft horses and building/driving stagecoaches for all the parades in PTL, not to mention she was in several civil war reenactments as a little girl. "We didnt have any entertainment except Daddy's guitar, so it was a treat to set outside on the picnic table and sing old Gospel hymns. That was all we knew back then!" From there her family moved to South Fulton, Kentucky where her father took a church called First Assembly. Joanie has been writing songs her whole entire life and has been playing acoustic guitar for about 6 years.

Emily Weaver: From a small town called Scotts Hill, TN, grew up around music her whole life! Her musical roots come from many generations. Her great-grandfather was a paid radio star back before television was ever thought of! Her father and mother sang and recorded Gospel music and sang and performed everywhere from Bangor, Maine to Branson, Missouri. Emily has the gift to play almost any instrument she picks up. At only 19 years old, she can play acoustic/electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, and banjo to perfection. She was raised on Bluegrass and Bluegrass/Gospel music and those genres remain a favorite of hers; however, over the years, she has expanded to a wide variety of music genres. Emily and her husband, Josh Weaver, are currently leading the praise and worship team at their church in Finger, TN, The Highlands
